OpenCine is currently being developed by one team member and we wanted to share his progress and show the current status of the software. The developer longs for feedback, concepts and ideas that motivate him to continue improving the software in the apertus° Lab.
All five partners in the AXIOM Gamma development consortium met in Vienna in March and officially kicked of the project. We share a few more stories and impressions from this very productive event.
Good News: We are able to reuse not just the image sensor but the entire electronics from the AXIOM Beta Image Sensor Board in the AXIOM Gamma design. This means the upgrade path from Beta to Gamma is a lot more straight forward.

Hey guys,
Hey guys,
it's nice to see that you are working on the software of the axiom beta. I want to comment the topic of integrating a colour correction software into the programme. These features aren't necessary yet because softwares like Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer or Edius are programmed to work with this footage. This projekt would be a great idea for the future (a open source colour correction sweet). The software of the camera should should support basic film settings like ISO, Shutterspeed, Adjustable Resolution, Framerate, Focus Peaking and Safe Areas.
It would be nice if you could build a modul for the Axiom Gamma that records to SSDs or HDDs. The idea of creating a fully modular Camera is absolutly stunning, I hope this vision will come true.
So, I'm excited to see some
So, I'm excited to see some progress on OpenCine. And it's not that I've never compiled anything before, but it'd be nice if there were a repository for downloading builds to test without having to compile it on my own. Are there any plans for that in the future? Keep up the good work!
Yes, there will be builds for
Yes, there will be builds for several operating systems soon if things go well, this is obviously something many people want :)
